I have always enjoyed the facilitation of healing touch to those around me, and have for much of my life. I have spent my life in the Northwest, starting in Juneau, Ak and then moving to Seattle, Wa. I have lived here for the last 10 years and for much of my time have been working as a footwear specialist at some of the major outdoor retail stores in the area. During this time I have helped countless customers help ascertain the tricky conundrum that is proper boot/shoe fitting. In short, I was able to work with literally thousands of individuals in the last 8 years and observing their foot issues. I'm a bit of a nerd on the topic but I take the position very seriously due to the consequences of sloppy and improper fitting tactics, of which I have seen many.
After the first 5 years of that position, I met some inspirational people who guided me to sign up for massage school. I had always thought about attempting to become professionally certified and this was the kick in the pants as it were for myself. My experience with bodywork began as a youth working summer theater up in Juneau as I helped work out knots on older performers between shows. As I worked through my 20's I felt the gravitation of that lifestyle start to appeal and more importantly, I felt I could do well and help others while creating more abundance in my life as well as having time for artistic pursuits.
I finished school at Everest Northgate in May 2009 while working full time in the day at my retail position. Since then, I have worked in a few massage jobs as listed below, but have spent the majority of my time at my day job. My long term goal is to find a position that allows me to work both jobs if possible and then with grow into a full time therapist.
I feel that I have a strong energetic touch and enjoy being the conduit of healing through my work. My work includes a variety of Swedish, Deep Thissue, MFR, along with some Reiki and Chakra focus. I also enjoy working the foot and ankle areas which I have found transfers much of my retail knowledge quite well. At this point in my career I want to learn more regarding different techniques and types of massage. I have been blessed with many like-minded individuals in my life at this moment who have guided me so far. Now I seek the next step in the rest of this life of healing. Thank you for your time.
