Are you a great therapist who’s become weary of being a one-woman show? Would you like to give up the cost of overhead and supplies and the headache of taxes to become an employee for a business that respects you? Or perhaps you have a faithful group of clientele and no good place to treat them anymore?

We are seeking ONE part-time LMP to join our small team of four at Shangri-La Massage Therapy in Edmonds, Washington, beginning in early-mid March 2012. Our goal at Shangri-La is quite simple: to serve clients’ needs for therapeutic massage in our cozy, clean, and comfortable (yet professional and drama-free) office. We are passionate about massage, and are seeking someone who shares this passion!

Applicants hired as part-time LMPs (2-3 days per week) will have the opportunity to become full-time LMPs (4-5 days per week) as their clientele grows. Ideally, applicants will be able to work at least three shifts, between the hours of 9 am-8 pm, Sunday-Saturday. We offer both cash and insurance massage, so applicants must be insurance credentialed. In addition, applicants should:

> Have a least one year of prior experience (school does not count).
> Be willing to do two, hour-long interviews (talk and practical).
> Be mature and professional (being on time, doing charts, etc. are not an issue).
> Be willing to participate in any chair massage events (paid).

We will happily provide the right therapist with:

> An environment where you can use complementary tools and methods (for, example, most of us are currently certified in massage cupping).
> A place where all insurance billing is done for you.
> A place where you can feel free to treat any clients you currently have and take these same clients with you should you have to leave.
> A place you can trade massage with the rest of the team members and get one paid wellness massage per month.
> An excellent, competitive wage, both for massage (up to $30 per hour massage after 60 days) and for administrative work such as charting (minimum wage for hours outside of massage.)
> A place where you can grow your practice.

We realize that the right LMP may well have to hold another massage job until her clientele at Shangri-La becomes established. This is totally fine and presents no problem as long as the two jobs are kept separate in terms of clientele, as per professional standards/contract.

We are adding new clients each week from advertising, word-of-mouth, and doctors’ referrals: so if growing a practice is what you want, it WILL happen here if you commit to it. Also, we may have additional time available for part-time reception work for the right therapist.
