Jason Stutz

Massage Therapist in Seattle, WA

Massage is a life-giving exercise. After only 1 massage, one learns that their functionality in life, physically, mentally, and emotionally, improves and we perform better.
When I give deep tissue, my philosophy is not to go so deep as to be excruciatingly painful, as this is counterproductive to the healing process. Rather, I begin on more surface tissue, and go deeper and deeper into the tissue as it responds and loosens.
My specialty is in creating more flexibility and length for contracted, shortened muscles and joints. Pain is often reduced immediately, and, how can it not be so? Good massage is incredibly effective! The work I do is highly intuitive while remaining direct and sensible. Most important are common sense and sensitivity to what is underneath my hands- you!!

I offer the following kinds of massage: Chair Massage, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Sports Massage, Medical Massage, Cranio-Sacral, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Reiki, Thai Massage, Japanese Massage, Myofascial Release, Acupressure.

My Professional History:
I worked, since receiving my massage license until I left NY in November, 2008 for a high-end fitness center in downtown Manhattan, Equinox Fitness. References available on request from both Equinox, and my many private clients who will attest to the help I have offered them. I now have a growing private practice and am looking for supplimental work, 2-3 days per week. I worked at a wellness clinic in Wallingford 2 years (until Jan. 2011) until the owners sold the business; I also worked Massage Envy in Northgate until October, 2009, to help me get on my feet when I moved here, but I do not foresee working for so little again. Otherwise, it was a good place to work.

NY State requires the toughest educational requirements in the country for massage, and the Swedish Institute required much, much tougher requirements than the required to graduate. I did, with honors.

Graduate of Swedish Institute , class of 2006.

High School Graduate 1990, AA from Swedish Institute, NCSS current completing AA enroute to BA in Spiritual Psychology and Creativity, soon to graduate; then, graduate work toward becoming a Clinical Psychologist.
