I have always enjoyed helping those around me and assisting in the healing of others. For me massage is a tool I use in my daily life to improve the health and wellness of those around me. My approach to massage is to provide the client with an experience that exceeds their expectations no matter what type of massage they came in for. I like to begin all my sessions with integrated swedish strokes to help prepare the client and their tissues for whatever type of work they have asked for. If the client was coming in for a relaxation massage I would continue the session with primarily swedish strokes maintaining a heavy empasis on the fluidity of my movements while addressing any focus areas the client may have. If however the client came in for a more therapeutic deep tissue session I would transition my swedish strokes into various other techniques such as Trigger point work, joint mobilization, cross fiber friction, and other modalities depending on the issues of the client and current state of the injury.
