Job description

Written on the Body Massage and Acupuncture Studio has recently expanded to 13th and Alberta Streets above The Green Microgym. We looking to hire one to two experienced and licensed Massage Therapists as Independent Contractors.

Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience and is very comfortable with deep tissue massage, trigger point release as well as relaxation techniques. We welcome those of you whom have other training such as Cranio-Sacral or Thai Massage. We will train you on Hot Stones and Bamboo-Fusion.
We utilize online booking and email to handle our appointments so you will need to be web savvy or be willing to learn.

Who you are:

You are generally a happy person, know how to communicate effectively, you can take initiative and work independently. You will often be your own receptionist so we ask that you have excellent customer service skills. You are looking for a "home" for your practice and want to stay long term. You love what you do and it reflects in who you are and what you do!

We will actively market to help build your clientele, however, we will expect that you be willing to participate in marketing yourself as well as promotional activities and events. You are encouraged to bring your own clients.
It would be wonderful if you were credentialed with insurance companies, if not you must be willing to become so, we will happily assist you in the process.

You will be required to maintain your own professional liability insurance. The rate of pay will begin at 40% of service fee plus gratuity and will be re-evaluated with the opportunity of an increase after 6 months. We will provide everything you need to provide services at our location.
