Unwind Wellness is a rapidly growing wellness brand with three studios in Washington, DC and additional locations opening in 2025. We are currently seeking well-trained, dependable, and highly professional massage therapists to join our client-focused, positive team.

The ideal candidates are passionate about wellness, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and are looking to build a rewarding full-time or part-time career in a supportive and professional environment.

Position and Start Date: Massage Therapist (freelance contractor or employee); Immediately

Location: Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA (Unwind Adams Morgan, Unwind Georgetown, Unwind Navy Yard, and Unwind Alexandria)

Duties:

Perform all duties required of a licensed massage therapy provider.
Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Serve as an ambassador of calm, professionalism, and excellence when representing Unwind Wellness.
Demonstrate strong teamwork and a solid work ethic, contributing to a supportive and respectful work environment.
Provide a range of massage modalities—including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, combination, and others—to meet individual client needs and preferences.
Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and fully prepared before and after each client session.
Bonus: Offer massage-related add-on services such as aromatherapy, hot stones, scrubs, and similar enhancements.
Requirements:

Must hold a valid massage therapy license or certification.
Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills with both clients and colleagues. As a client-focused wellness studio, all team members are expected to contribute to and help maintain a calm, gentle, and relaxing atmosphere across our locations.
Punctuality is essential. Our studios operate with back-to-back bookings, and delays cannot be accommodated. Providers are expected to arrive ahead of each scheduled session to greet clients and ensure the treatment room is fully prepared.
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory boards and continuing education requirements.
Prior professional experience is an asset but not required. Recent graduates of reputable massage therapy programs, including those with student or internship experience, are encouraged to apply.
Adhere to professional dress, conduct, and ethical standards appropriate to a wellness environment. This includes maintaining a distraction-free space for clients at all times—for example, keeping cell phones on silent or off and avoiding hallway conversations during active sessions.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $138,600.00 per year
