Craniosacral Balancing Foundations: A Somatic, Nature-Immersive Approach

This three-day in-person Craniosacral Balancing Foundations course offers a grounded, somatic introduction to craniosacral work, weaving together anatomy, physiology, subtle palpation skills, and whole-body listening within a retreat-style learning environment.

Set on forested land in a geodesic dome designed for nervous system regulation and focused presence, this course invites practitioners to slow down, refine their touch, and deepen their capacity to perceive and respond to subtle patterns in the body. Learning takes place through guided hands-on practice, experiential inquiry, and embodied integration rather than rote memorization.

Participants will learn to perceive the craniosacral rhythm, assess restrictions within the fascial system, and apply gentle, effective techniques to support balance within the central nervous system and the body as a whole. Emphasis is placed on developing palpation as a relational, somatic skill and on working with the body’s innate intelligence rather than imposing force or correction.

Small class size allows for individualized instruction, hands-on guidance, and ample supervised practice, supporting both technical confidence and intuitive clarity.

Optional onsite lodging and retreat accommodations allow students to fully immerse in the learning process, rest between training days, and integrate the work more deeply.

Course Highlights

By the end of this three day training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the anatomy, physiology, and foundational principles of the craniosacral system from a somatic and relational perspective
  • Demonstrate refined palpation skills and whole-hand listening (both on and off the body) that support subtle assessment and therapeutic presence
  • Perceive and interpret the craniosacral rhythm and its variations to evaluate patterns of restriction and ease
  • Trace restrictions through the fascial system to identify primary sources of strain and compensation
  • Apply gentle techniques to support dural tube balance and central nervous system regulation
  • Utilize still-point and directional techniques to support deep relaxation and self-organizing change
  • Work with common presentations including head and neck tension, stress-related nervous system dysregulation, and chronic holding patterns
  • Integrate a clear, simple craniosacral balancing protocol into existing massage or bodywork sessions
  • Develop greater confidence working slowly, subtly, and effectively with complex nervous systems

Why Choose This Training

Somatic emphasis: Learn craniosacral work through the lense of Polarity Therapy from a holsitic energetic perspective with embodied awareness, nervous system attunement, and relational touch

Intimate class size: More individual feedback, hands-on guidance, and supervised practice than large-scale trainings

Place-based learning: Study in a quiet geodesic dome surrounded by forest, designed to support regulation, presence, and focus

Retreat option: Onsite lodging available for deeper immersion and integration

Integration-focused: Support for translating craniosacral skills into real-world clinical practice immediately
