Full Job Description
We are looking for a licensed massage therapist for a part time position that may grow into a rewarding career. Experienced is preferred as we have been established for 30 years, however, sponsorship and experience can be provided to recent graduates.
Basic skills must include introductory techniques of: Swedish type, Deep Tissue, Reflexology 30 min protocol & 55 Minute Protocol, and Hot Stones.- Usually 1-3 years experience as a massage therapist.
Intermediate Skills: Prenatal Massage, Sports for Athletes, Fluency in Sciatica Protocols, Cervical Radiculopathy Protocols & Lumbar Radiculopathy Protocols, Stretches, Cupping- Static & Dynamic, Usually 3-5 years experience as a massage therapist.
Advanced Skills: Combining massage protocols with energetic applications. Specific Manual Lymph Drainage for post cosmetic surgery, Cranio Sacral or Myofascial, Hot Poultice for post cosmetic surgery. Oncology Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Ayurvedic (Chakra Work) skills, Reiki Master. Usually 5-8 or years of Massage Experience and or other experience.
We have a nice range of clients from those who just prefer relaxation to those who prefer specific medical techniques. All therapists complement each other in skills and applications.
Customer service oriented and/or trained in hospitality preferred. Including, but not limited to: This position requires that you pleasantly greet and welcome clients, escort them to the treatment room, hold the door for them, offer to assist with their coat etc.., carry their belongings for them if they are wearing a robe, offer them a beverage, asking how are you, verifying the service that you are providing today, asking them what they are looking to accomplish in todays session, checking in with client during service and making suggestions about self care and wellness, educating clients about all services offered that may be complementary and/or beneficial that are provided in house, and developing a projected timeline of treatment that you can provide them with to help achieve their wellness goals or pain management goals. Thank them for coming in and recommend them to return for the wonderful services that you can provide them with.
AMTA or ABMP Membership Required.
Salary range per massage service can start from $45 with additional for more specialized or advanced services. Gratuities given by clients range form $20-$50 per service.
Sanitation & Cleanliness Protocols standard. Black Scrubs are standard uniform.
