Health equity exists when all people can attain their full health potential. As care providers it is our responsibility to provide impartiality, minimizing inequities in our care from client to client. This course meets WA State Continuing Education requirements for Health Equity (two hours). We will explore equity of care when faced with the unexpected. We will discuss the impact of implicit biases on equity in client care in our massage practices. The class format involves a blend of lecture, self-reflection, and group discussion. Consideration will be given to optimize positive equitable health care outcomes.
This class satisfies WA's health equity CE requirement.
