As therapists, we often need to make decisions on the types of supplies that will be best for our particular practice and style of massage. There are lots of choices and, especially for those working on their own, it can be difficult to decide what to buy.

Use this forum to ask and to share your experience about oils, lotions, linens, equipment, educational aids and any other items that you may need or use in your massage practice

I personally am experimenting with massage oil for spa massage and long gliding strokes. I’m finding oil works well for relaxation work. For more clinical type massage work I like the biotone lavender massage cream or biotone unscented lotion

I like the Biotone Dual Purpose Cream. It doesn’t dry up too fast but still gives me plenty of grip for deep tissue work!

I’d like the massage table with face hole. Made of wood and a pair of massage chairs :)
Olive oil and coconut oil are also my choice.

I like unrefined coconut oil, but found that it stains sheets. Any ideas on this?

Apricot kernel oil works best as it is suitable as a facial oil, especially for sensitive, inflamed, dry or mature skin.

I prefer to use unrefined coconut oil for massage because it is said the unrefined coconut oil is helpful for relieving pain from the body.
